Oracle Database Administrator

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform. Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards. Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products. Be a productive member of the team.

Analyze database and application performance and provide recommendations for performance tuning and optimization. Enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities with a focus on proactive and preventive monitoring. Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance requirements are consistently maintained. Respond to production incidents and participate in standby/on-call activities as part of the support team. Recommend tools and solutions to help development teams reduce lead time and improve delivery efficiency. Work within Agile methodologies and the ING Orange Code culture. Implement and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible. Use and manage open-source monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus, including dashboard creation. Support automated deployments across containerized and non-containerized platforms. Demonstrate strong scripting skills in Bash/Unix or other scripting languages. Provide strong technical knowledge of TIBCO BW 5.x and TIBCO EMS. Maintain and optimize relational databases, with Oracle database experience highly preferred. Support test automation initiatives and work with Parasoft products where required. Provide effective support in high-pressure production environments and participate in 24x7 production support. Apply basic knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Apply awareness of Risk and Compliance requirements in daily operations. Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases. Ensure database performance, availability, security, and data integrity. Manage database backup, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities. Perform database performance tuning and optimization. Support complex database environments and contribute to database architecture and solution design. Senior/Lead DBAs may also provide technical guidance, mentoring, and strategic recommendations for database solutions.
