What you'll do
As Assistant Accountant International you play a crucial role for international companies and their ambitions in the Netherlands and Europe. This role is not only about numbers; you give meaning to what lies behind the figures. You work on the (annual) figures, prepare financial statements and overviews in English, prepare monthly reports for foreign parent companies and support clients with their obligations in the Netherlands. Our international clients regularly face complex tax and financial regulations, such as international tax treaties, reporting standards and legislation. You are their eyes and ears and you involve colleagues and specialists where necessary to provide the right answers. You maintain active contact with clients, visit them in the Netherlands and sometimes abroad, and build long term relationships. What you'll bring
You have strong analytical skills, work accurately and are curious You take responsibility, seek collaboration when needed and feel comfortable in a dynamic international environment You switch easily between different languages, including excellent English communication, and you enjoy working with new software packages You communicate clearly, both with colleagues and with clients You show initiative and can work well independently and as part of a team Flexibility is in our DNA. You understand that international clients sometimes require coordination across time zones, always within a healthy work–life balance In addition you bring: A bachelor’s or vocational degree level of education, with 1–3 years of relevant work experience Experience in compiling or preparing annual financial statements is preferred Good command of Dutch and English (other languages are an advantage) Personal qualities such as eagerness to learn, client focus and accuracy, with the ambition to grow Cultural fit as in enthusiastic, highly responsible and a real team player Knowledge of international standards is an advantage
