As a VAT Compliance Specialist , you play a key role within our indirect tax practice. You are responsible for managing and coordinating our VAT compliance activities and ensuring that our international clients meet all VAT-related obligations. Your responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing (complex) VAT, OSS, and Intrastat returns; Preparing European Sales Listings (ESL); Reconciling VAT general ledger accounts with VAT returns; Designing and implementing VAT administration processes for clients; Advising clients on VAT compliance and VAT audits; Identifying VAT issues and, where necessary, escalating them to specialists; Actively contributing to team communication on VAT updates and legislation; Coaching and training colleagues in the field of VAT compliance. You will work with medium-sized to large internationally operating clients, taking into account a wide range of national and international transactions. By accurately interpreting client data, you ensure that VAT obligations are processed correctly and on time. You act as a trusted point of contact for both clients and colleagues and contribute to their success.

You are analytically strong, client-oriented, and possess well-developed commercial awareness. You feel comfortable in an international working environment and are able to clearly communicate complex information. In addition, you bring: A completed HBO degree in an economic or tax-related field; 0–3 years of relevant work experience, ideally involving VAT returns; Experience with (international) VAT and OSS filings; Knowledge of foreign VAT returns and international transactions is a plus; Strong command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written; Strong communication and commercial skills with a proactive, client-focused mindset.
