We are looking for a senior observability engineer with extensive experience—someone who truly knows how to build robust services and implement measurable improvements. The ideal candidate loves automation, is service-oriented, and can easily put themselves in the shoes of both their own team and other DevOps teams. They possess strong communication skills and a solid track record in consulting, support, troubleshooting, and developing complex solutions, while being customer-focused and results-driven. Requirements

At least 2 years of work experience with an observability stack (preferably Prometheus, Grafana).

2 to 5 years of work experience with one of the three major public clouds (Azure, GCP, AWS), preferably AWS.

At least 3 years of work experience with Kubernetes and Helm.

At least 2 years of work experience with Terraform (longer preferred).

Experience with GitLab and GitOps (preferably Argo CD).

Experience working in large organizations, complex environments, and large-scale infrastructure.

Familiarity with Python, Bash, or Go is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Working on the foundation of EDSN’s IT solutions: the AWS-based platform built on Kubernetes and its associated building blocks.

Designing and developing an observability platform that other teams can consume as a service.

Setting up and maintaining network infrastructure, security, and integrations with SaaS services within the AWS cloud.

Development follows the Infrastructure-as-Code principle, implemented almost entirely using GitOps principles (GitLab, Terraform, Argo CD).

Actively collaborating with DevOps teams on the most effective deployment of building blocks to achieve their goals.

Encouraging and actively participating in the development of automated processes.

Skills:

Extensive experience with observability and all its components: monitoring, metrics, logging, and tracing systems (e.g., Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, Grafana Mimir), LGTM;

Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude;

Experience with security aspects of cloud environments;

Knowledge of and experience with scalable and distributed environments;

Source code management using Git;

Broad experience in cloud development and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm);

Experience with SAFe and Agile Scrum (preferred);

Proficient in the DevOps way of working and a DevOps mindset.
