What you'll do
APG Asset Management Amsterdam is looking to hire a Quant Developer to join the Real Estate investment team. Reporting to the head of Research & Analytics Real Estate, the role is a pivotal element both in the further development of an award winning global Real Estate analytics platform and the investment process for a 50bn Real Estate portfolio. Leveraging a vast dataset with climate risk data, reputational risk dataset score financial datasets and historical decisions and investment assumptions, this analytics platform enables efficient bottom-up research on real estate investments and allows for efficient deployment of a growing number of AI agents.. This is an ideal role for candidates with a quantitative background, experience in financial data modelling with a strong focus on code scalability and robustness, and who want to learn more about the real estate market. Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop and enhance our data driven analytics and LLM platform used in investment decisions. Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and fellow engineers within the global team to understand the Real Estate investment processes and turn relevant ideas into high performance tooling. Build and maintain robust data pipelines and applications that effectively leverage Databricks. Translate research into scalable, low maintenance information products. Ensure system stability, data accuracy, and model transparency. Job Requirements This role requires not only strong technical capabilities but also the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across regions. Success in this position depends as much on collaboration and communication as it does on coding and analytics.
Nice to have
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Strong analytical and statistical reasoning. Effective communicator and team collaborator. Detail-oriented with a growth mindset and interest in infrastructure investing. Technical Skills Master’s degree (or higher) in quantitative disciplines (Math, Stats, CS). At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience in data engineering and analytics. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Git, and clean coding practices. Experience with Databricks, Power BI, LLMs, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices. Why join our team?
