What you'll do
Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter Create and maintain mappings, workflows, sessions, and transformations Develop data integration solutions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting of ETL processes Optimize ETL performance and implement tuning strategies Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for job automation, scheduling, and monitoring Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for data processing Support production deployments, issue resolution, and maintenance activities Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with standards Participate in SDLC phases : requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment Required Technical Skills Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud (IICS) Strong knowledge of ETL development and data warehousing concepts Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.) Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Shell scripting Experience in data modeling and database design Knowledge of workflow scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys) Understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques Experience working with multiple data sources (XML, flat files, RDBMS) Preferred/Additional Skills Familiarity with Agile methodologies Experience with version control and release management

About the company
This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position. FDM is seeking a ETL Developer located in Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, or Atlanta to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended. This role will be in-person with requirements to be in office 4 to 5 days per week.
An Informatica Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Informatica tools. The role involves working closely with data functional teams to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and delivery. Strong Unix/Linux scripting skills are required to support automation, scheduling, and batch processing activities.
