About the role
We are seeking a highly qualified and certified Atlassian Systems Engineer to take ownership of our entire Atlassian Cloud infrastructure and drive its further scaling and optimization. In this role, you will serve as the primary architect and administrator for our suite of tools, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence.
Beyond standard administration, you will focus heavily on data engineering and team collaboration workflows. You will bridge the gap between project management and business intelligence by building robust data integrations with Power BI. Additionally, you will streamline internal communication by deeply integrating tools such as MS Teams and Slack into our Atlassian ecosystem.
What you'll do
Platform Architecture & Governance: You serve as the primary global administrator for our Atlassian Cloud environment (Jira Software, JSM, Confluence). You define, implement, and maintain system governance, custom permission schemes, and global configurations.
Workflow Automation & Customization: You design complex, scalable workflows, custom fields, screens, and advanced Jira automation rules to optimize delivery for both technical and non-technical business units. [1]
ITSM & Service Delivery: You structure and professionalize our Jira Service Management (JSM) infrastructure, including customer portals, SLA configurations, asset management, and change management workflows.
Data Pipelines & Business Intelligence: You build, optimize, and maintain data integrations connecting the Atlassian suite with Power BI (via APIs, Atlassian Analytics, or third-party connectors) to provide dashboards and performance metrics for management.
ChatOps & Ecosystem Integrations: You implement and support advanced bi-directional integrations with internal communication channels like MS Teams and Slack to drive workflow automation directly from the chat interface.
Upgrades & Continuous Improvement: You stay up to date with new Atlassian Cloud features, evaluate Marketplace plugins for security and usability, and proactively lead continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
Cloud Management: Excellent command of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Cloud.
Data Integration: Experience exporting, structuring, and visualizing Jira data in PowerBI using REST APIs, webhooks, or specific database connectors.
Chat Collaboration: Direct experience setting up ChatOps triggers and webhook structures between Atlassian products and MS Teams or Slack.
Problem-solving skills: In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and standard ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
Development skills: Experience writing custom scripts (e.g., ScriptRunner, Groovy, JavaScript, or Python) to interact with Atlassian APIs.
