What you'll do
As a site inspector, you will support the project through on-site inspection and supervision, helping ensure the works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with project specifications and standards. You will: supervise geotechnical investigations, including CPTs, sCPTs, boreholes, geophysical surveys and other related surveys, including in-situ testing and laboratory testing activities inspect on-site construction works including ground improvement of reclamation fill material and consolidation of underlying subsoils through various methods review contractor documentation, including method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, drawings, plans and test records monitor quality, quantities, materials, deliveries, testing and installation works, including sand, rock, geotextiles, filters, underlayers and armour layers review monitoring and inspection data to confirm compliance with project specifications, design criteria, standards, codes and HSE requirements identify, report and follow up on defects, damage, non-conformances, geotechnical risks and required corrective or preventive actions coordinate with contractors, engineers and clients to resolve site issues and support safe, efficient progress of the works maintain inspection records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports covering progress, issues, actions and outcomes
What you'll bring
As a site inspector, you will join our site supervision team on a rotation basis to support 24/7 construction activities and report directly to the construction management section lead. For this position, you should have: bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience, preferably within an engineering consultancy or construction company experience in quality control for geotechnical, reclamation ground improvement and related marine works strong quality and safety awareness, with attention to detail and accuracy ability to manage priorities, take responsibility for tasks and seek support when needed practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to site challenges strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills fluent spoken and written English, with strong report-writing skills willing to have a project-based contract of around 2 years willing to work on late shift (4:00 PM-12:00 midnight) from Mondays to Saturdays and some Sundays if necessary
