Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst acts as a critical bridge between finance and operations by translating financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive cost savings, process improvements, and business performance. This role supports inventory management, production analysis, project accounting, financial reporting, ERP optimization, and month-end close activities.

Financial Analysis & Reporting Collect, interpret, analyze, and report financial data to support operational and strategic decision-making Provide stakeholders with accurate insights into the company’s financial health and performance Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend corrective actions when necessary Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and applicable regulations Inventory & Cost Accounting Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accurate valuation and proper accounting treatment Assist in implementing inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory Participate in annual physical inventory counts, monthly cycle counts, and inventory impairment reviews Identify and resolve inventory variances and stock discrepancies Production & Operational Finance Track and analyze manufacturing overhead spending Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure timely recognition of expenses Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and assist in resolving key financial issues Support operational leaders with financial insights and performance analysis Project Accounting & Cost Control Perform cost analysis and budget tracking for assigned projects Validate accurate project cost recognition and timing Implement and maintain cost control procedures and best practices Analyze project profitability and cash flow on a monthly basis Provide early warning indicators for deviations from budgets and forecasts General Accounting Prepare general journal entries Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Assist with audits and tax filings as needed ERP & Cross-Functional Support Support ERP development and process improvement initiatives while ensuring data integrity Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational and financial objectives Represent the Accounting and Finance team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Strong cost accounting experience required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ballistic or defense industry market knowledge preferred Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel Contact email to apply: [email protected]
