About the role
This role requires a strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices and works closely with the Director of HR to implement HR programs, maintain compliance, and drive effective HR outcomes across multiple departments, with a strong focus on supporting production operations.
What you'll do
Employee Relations & HR Support Serve as an HR point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, attendance, leave administration, and performance-related matters including FMLA, ADA, and related compliance issues Partner with the Director of HR on more complex employee relations matters and investigations Advise managers on HR best practices and employee relations issues Present a positive and professional image of Integris through communication, collaboration, and employee interactions Maintain professional boundaries and ensure all employee interactions remain appropriate and work-focused Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Participate in full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, advertisements, application screening, interview coordination, interview question development, and candidate selection support Support high-volume recruiting efforts primarily focused on production and manufacturing departments Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify trends and improvement opportunities Partner with hiring managers to ensure efficient and compliant hiring processes Onboarding, Training & Employee Development Participate in the development and maintenance of onboarding and orientation programs for new hires and promoted employees Support employee training, development initiatives, and organizational growth programs Assist with engagement initiatives, employee events, surveys, and training activities Benefits & HR Administration Maintain awareness of company benefit offerings, enrollment processes, and employee assistance programs to support employee questions and onboarding discussions Participate in open enrollment planning and negotiations with the HR team Assist with administration of 401(k) programs including new hire enrollment, record maintenance, contribution uploads, and annual audits Assist with Deferred Compensation plan administration including record maintenance, training coordination, and open enrollment processing Support payroll, benefits, and leave administration while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws May serve as backup support for payroll processing Compliance & HR Operations Assist with HR audits and required reporting, including financial and compliance-related data Support the development, maintenance, and updating of the Employee Handbook, organizational policies, and performance management processes Assist with employment law compliance and required notifications across multiple states Ensure all HR communications are professional, confidential, and conducted through approved company communication channels Maintain accurate HR records and ensure proper handling of personally identifiable information (PII) Collect and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making and organizational improvements Maintain HR documents, organizational charts, and departmental records as needed Professional Development Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law, and industry best practices through workshops, professional associations, publications, and networking opportunities Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required 3–5+ years of Human Resources experience in generalist and/or specialist roles HR certification preferred (HRCI, aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) with ongoing continuing education in employment law and HR best practices Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits administration Experience analyzing HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting data Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and regulations, particularly for employees working outside of Ohio Contact email to apply: [email protected]
