Project Manager for International Construction Projects in Eastern Europe

For an international construction project in Eastern Europe, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction. You represent the client throughout the entire project cycle and are responsible for managing the project. The contractor is responsible for execution; your role is to ensure that agreements are honored, risks remain under control, and stakeholders are involved in decision-making in a timely manner. You will work in an international environment that involves collaborating with contractors, government agencies, and other public stakeholders. You will regularly visit project sites in Eastern Europe and serve as the point of contact on behalf of the client.

Has final responsibility for managing the project on behalf of the client. Overseeing the contractor's work with regard to quality, scheduling, progress, and contractual agreements. Coordinate collaboration among the parties involved. Identifying and managing project risks. Reporting on progress, developments, and decision-making. Visiting project sites in Eastern Europe. Who are we looking for? An experienced construction professional who knows how to organize complex projects and facilitate effective collaboration among stakeholders. You maintain a broad perspective, stay in control, and know how to engage people at various levels in the project. In addition, you have an entrepreneurial mindset, take the initiative, and know how to identify opportunities and risks in a timely manner. Not only do you have an eye for the technical and organizational aspects of a project, but you’re also responsible for sound financial management and effective cost control throughout the entire project cycle. You should also bring: A level of work and thinking equivalent to a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree. At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Experience as a Project Leader, Project Manager, or Program Manager. Proven experience with complex construction projects. Experience with contract management and contractor relations. Experience with projects involving collaboration with government agencies. International project experience is a plus. Excellent command of the English language. Interested?
